NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The four year-old boy shot early Tuesday morning in Noxubee County continues to recover in a Jackson hospital.
Sheriff Terry Grassaree describes the boy as stable.
In fact, the unidentified child was playing a video game yesterday when investigators went to check on him Thursday.
The boy’s mother, 21 year-old Chelsea Pace, was shot and burned at a home just off Highway 388.
Her boyfriend, Marcus Gardner, was arrested after showing up to the crime scene.
He is charged with murder and aggravated assault.
Gardner was denied bond and remains in jail.
