COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Canyon Boykin will not go to court in October.
The manslaughter trial for the former Columbus Police officer has been continued.
The Walthall County Circuit Clerk’s office tells WCBI News they received notice from Judge Lee Coleman’s office.
Walthall County in south Mississippi was selected in May as the venue change for the case.
Boykin was indicted on a manslaughter charge after allegedly shooting and killing Ricky Ball while on duty in 2015.
The Walthall County Circuit Clerk’s office has not received confirmation of a new date from Judge Coleman’s office.
