VERNON, Ala. (WCBI) – The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the shooting death of a Vernon boy.
SBI says the 12 year-old was shot at a residence on 4th Street Southwest sometime after 9 PM on Monday.
Lamar County Coroner Alan Chandler identified the victim as Jerron Barnes.
SBI did not release whether anyone was in custody.
The shooting remains under investigation.
