NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Noxubee County mother is dead and her child was shot multiple times on Tuesday morning.
Noxubee County Sheriff Terry Grassaree has not released any details.
Law enforcement were alerted to the shooting and possible arson, just off Highway 388, about 5:30 AM.
An alert was sent to Lowndes County deputies around 9 AM about a murder suspect wanted in Noxubee County.
The suspect is described as a 24 or 25 year-old black male with dreadlocks, wearing a red Alabama t-shirt.
He was last seen near the Alabama state line at Tenn-Tom Grocery on Highway 388.
