LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man is accused of beating up his elderly mother this past weekend.
Thomas Savely Jr., 59, is charged with aggravated domestic assault.
Deputies were called to a home on Jess Lyons Road early Sunday morning.
Investigators say the woman had to get stitches but should recover.
Savely has not made a court appearance to have his bond set.
No mugshot of Savely was available Monday afternoon from the Lowndes County Jail.
