
BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Booneville man will spend time in prison for child exploitation and tampering with evidence.
According to Attorney General Jim Hood, Brian Michael Kemp was sentenced to twenty-five (25) years, with eighteen years suspended and seven to serve.
Kemp pled guilty in circuit court Friday, June 16.
The 46-year-old was indicted in 2016 for possessing child pornography and intentionally destroying the evidence.
Once released, Kemp will have to spend five years on probation, and he must register as a sex offender.
Judge Jim Pounds ordered him to pay all court costs and $4,000 thousand in fines.
This case was investigated by the attorney general’s Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.
