COLUMBUS (WCBI) – Two Columbus men claiming to be looking for a ride got one – but not the type they asked for.
It all started just after one this morning when a guest at the Motel 6 called to report he had been robbed.
He says two men approached him looking for a ride.
When he declined the pair forced their way into his room and and stole cash from him.
The robbers did not make it too far as Columbus patrol units searching the area spotted the two suspects.
They are identified as 26 year old Arsenio Reynolds and 20 year old John Davis Williams Junior.

Officers recovered the stolen funds.
Both are facing robbery charges and will make initial court appearances later Tuesday.
