LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County deputy is injured during a high-speed chase through at least three counties.
According to scanner reports, the unidentified officer has been shot in the leg. He was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle to have his injuries treated.
The lone suspect in the chase and shooting is confirmed dead by law enforcement officials.
