MONROE COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI)—There are more drug arrests this week in Monroe County.
It brings the total to nearly 80 drug arrests there this month. Deputies found a felony amount of crack cocaine this week – although the suspect was able to destroy a lot of the drug beforehand. Separately , members of law enforcement found a felony amount of weed Thursday night during two traffic stops.
Officers believe the suspect was transporting the drugs from Tupelo – down highway 45 – to sell in Columbus.
