LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department vehicle is hit and the driver takes off from the scene.
Jennifer Kirkman, 50, is charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, felony fleeing, and refusal to take a DUI test.
Investigators say a deputy driving an unmarked vehicle was struck while on the way to a call Wednesday night on Sam Hill Road, near Crawford.
Deputies say Kirkman was driving the other vehicle and drove away.
Law enforcement gave chase and arrested her.
The deputy was not injured.
