CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Chickasaw County man was accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend.
Eric O’Neal Moore, 30, has been charged with murder. A judge denied him bond earlier Friday.
Chickasaw County Sheriff Jim Meyers said the victim was shot in the head after an argument.
The shooting happened at a mobile home on Viola Street in Houlka about 1 a.m.
A Houlka officer found Shauntinae Hardwick, 29, with a single gunshot wound.
Meyers said a witness identified Moore as the gunman.
One adult and three kids were home at the time of the shooting.
Investigators told WCBI that Hardwicka and Moore had children together.
Deputies have also recovered a weapon.
Moore remains in jail.
