LAMAR COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – A Lamar County man was found guilty of three charges, then he was arrested for another crime after the verdict was read.
The jury convicted Danny Gene McGee of burglary 3rd degree, theft of property 1st, and breaking and entering a vehicle.
The offenses were found to be aggravated, which means McGee to be sentenced as a habitual offender based on a prior conviction.
Immediately after the verdict, McGee was arrested and charged with intimidating a witness.
His bond was revoked.
Several arrests have been made in the witness intimidation case and more are expected.
McGee will be sentenced on January 9.
