COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A man and woman arrested in connection with a Columbus homicide have been indicted for capital murder.
Victoria Slayton and Malcolm Hill were accused of killing Marcus Pate in October 2018.
Prosecutors believed Pate was killed during a robbery inside of his 11th Street South apartment.
Hill also faces drug charges.
Slayton and Hill are both being prosecuted as habitual offenders.
Pate was found shot to death.
Investigators told WCBI at the time that drugs were possibly involved and all three people knew each other.
Bond was denied for Slayton and Hill.
