COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI0 – A Columbus man was accused of a sex crime with a 14-year-old girl.
Akeian Colvin, 23, was charged with Sexual Battery.
Sheriff Mike Arledge said deputies were called to help Columbus police find the girl, who was suspected of being with Colvin.
Law enforcement found the girl with Colvin at an apartment on Yorkville Road East.
Investigators said the alleged criminal acts happened in Lowndes County.
Colvin remains in jail.
