MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Monroe County deputies arrest two men on drug charges.

Timothy Eugene Nantz, 34, and John Bradley Robertson, 44, face charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Trafficking.

Nantz also faces one count of Violation of Probation.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says the men were caught with drugs, cash, and pipes.

Cantrell says deputies found between 50 to 60 grams of meth, about 40 grams of marijuana, pills, and between $5 to $700 in cash.

Even though many are helping out after the recent storm Sheriff Cantrell says deputies are still watching out for other crimes.

“We have to keep up and make sure these people are not taking advantage of this because just because they think we’re down there working, and we all are, that they can go on and sell their drugs and try to make a lot of money here in the county, we’re not going to have that and we keep our job going even when we’re doing other things,” said Sheriff Cantrell.

Cantrell says this is an ongoing investigation and more arrests are expected.
