ACKERMAN, Miss. (WCBI)- Ackerman police are looking for an accused quick cash scammer.
Investigators believe the unidentified man has hit at least two stores with the swindling scheme.
Police Chief Tim Cook says the suspect and another man will go into a store, while it is busy, and use a large bill to pay for a small item.
While the clerk turns away, the man will slip more money into the pile and claim he paid for the item with more money than was given to the clerk.
One store lost $200.
