LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – DNA from a cold case sent a Columbus man to prison for 20 years.
Jamory Ross pleaded guilty to Sexual Battery in Lowndes County Circuit Court.
His DNA was put in a national database when he went to prison on an unrelated charge.
In the meantime, DNA evidence from a July 2015 sexual battery, armed robbery and burglary was also put in the same database.
When there was a positive match, Ross was arrested last May.
