STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Saturday hit-and-run in Starkville landed one man behind bars.
Starkville police said they responded to Waffle House after receiving a call of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian. Police attempted to pull over the car on Highway 12, but the driver refused to stop.
The chase continued on to Louisville Street where the car eventually left the road on Gillespie Street.
Javontae Harris, 23, of Starkville was charged with Domestic Violence – Aggravated Assault and Felony Failure to Stop Motor Vehicle.
Harris was transported to Oktibbeha County Jail.
