OKTIBBEHA CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – Investigators of the District Attorney’s Office are searching for Jermaine Sanders, in connection with passing bad checks on closed accounts to local merchants in the Starkville area.
Sanders is accused of writing checks to local merchants on a closed account. He has a history of committing this type of crime and is currently on Parole from the Mississippi Department of Corrections for related offenses.
There is an arrest warrant in Oktibbeha County for Sanders for Felony False Pretense as well as a Warrant from the Mississippi Department of Corrections for violating his parole.
Anyone with information on the location of Sanders is asked to contact the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department.
The District Attorney’s Office would also like to remind local merchants of the importance of obtaining proper identification from people who wish to pay with checks.
