CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Calhoun County woman is charged after deputies say she abandoned her disabled husband.
Chandra Baggett, 54, is charged with Abuse of Vulnerable Adult.
Calhoun County investigators say she took the victim’s vehicle and debit card, but never spent any money.
The man has Alzheimer’s and diabetes. His wife was his primary care giver.
Deputies went by to check on the man several times, after calls from neighbors.
Recently, the victim was found and needed immediate medical care.
The Department of Human Services has him in a care facility.
The Attorney General’s Office is also assisting in the investigation.
