COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man is behind bars, charged with Felony Sexual Battery.
Raymon Earl Walter is accused of attacking a former acquaintance.
According to police, Walter struck up a conversation with the woman, convinced her to get in a car with him, threatened her with a weapon and attacked her.
Walter is in the Lowndes County Jail. His bond is set at $25,000.
The victim is recovering from her injuries.
