LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Lee County Deputies have made an arrest in a shooting that injured one man the day after Christmas.
Tecarlos Ashby was arrested Wednesday for Aggravated Assault.
Back on December 26th, investigators say a dark car driving north on Highway 245, veered into the south bound lane into an off duty officer.
The driver jumped out stating he’d been shot.
Deputies say that the shooting occurred around the intersections of CR 145 and CR 379 where the victim and Ashby met.
That’s when investigators say there was an altercation, then the victim was shot.
Investigators retrieved a Colt 45 automatic handgun, which, they say matched a handgun stolen from Hunters Haven in Tupelo during a recent burglary.
Ashby is being held in the Lee County Sheriff’s Department.
