TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A man is wanted for burglarizing a home and Tupelo Police need your help finding him.
Around 9:30 Thursday morning officers with the Tupelo Police Department were called to a home on Ashley Lane for an active burglary.
The officers that responded learned that a person was inside the home and called for help after hearing a loud crash at the back door.
When police entered through the rear of the house, the suspect ran from the front into a wooded area.
Neighbors of the burglary victim described the suspect as a thin black male, wearing baggy cargo shorts and no shirt.
He is wanted for burglary of an occupied dwelling.
A TPD K-9 unit tried to track the suspect, but was unable to find him.
No injuries were reported in the break-in and the owners are looking to see if anything was taken.
